Saahir A. Seraj

Saahir A. Seraj is an attorney at Seraj Law, PLLC in Albany, New York. He brings a strong municipal-law and regulatory background to the firm, developed through hands-on experience advising government bodies, handling civil litigation, and navigating complex land use and zoning matters.

Before joining Seraj Law, Saahir served as Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Troy, where he advised the mayor and city departments on a broad range of legal matters — including litigation strategy, contracts, land use, zoning, labor and employment, public records (FOIL appeals), and civil litigation. His work included 50-h hearings, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and ERPO hearings.

Saahir also has personal experience as a retail real estate investor, giving him firsthand perspective on the transactional and regulatory challenges faced by property owners and investors.

Education & Background

Saahir graduated Cum Laude from Albany Law School in 2024 and was a member of the ABA Moot Court travel arbitration team — the same competition that trains students to argue complex disputes before a panel of judges, mirroring real-world appellate and arbitration practice. He earned his BS in Business Administration Magna Cum Laude from the University at Albany in 2022.

During law school, Saahir clerked at a local real estate firm handling residential and commercial transactions, and interned at the Troy Corporation Counsel’s Office — laying the foundation for the municipal and regulatory practice he brings to Seraj Law today.
